“I'm afraid to tell my mom that I'm pregnant.”

Hey Terra,
I am scared to tell my mom though because I don't want to get kicked out. Do you think she's right to tell me she'd kick me out of the house if I got pregnant?Freakin' Out
Dear Freakin' Out,
I understand that you're scared to tell your mom. How about if you first talk to your friend's mom and ask her if she might be willing to help you out by giving you a place to stay for a while just in case your mom reacts badly to the news and does something drastic (like asking you to leave the house). So talk to your friend and her mom. After you have your "back-up plan" in place, then talk with your mom. Even if you're scared, you really need her help and she can't help you if she doesn't know that you're in trouble.
Good luck. Please let me know how it goes.
In friendship,
Terra
